A new leak shared by informants @OnLeaks and MySmartPrice gives a detailed look at the upcoming LG V30 smartphone. The device could be launched in a matter of weeks, at the IFA conference in late-August.

The renders show a design very much in tune with current mobile trends. The device could have aspects similar to smartphones including the Galaxy S8, the Google Pixel, and the HTC U11.

Consumers can likely expect specs including a dual camera, a rear fingerprint sensor, a virtual home button, thin bezels for the display and a shiny body. LG is also expected to get rid of the second display feature it has showcased on the LG V20 and LG V10. The second display essentially served as an area for notifications and easy access to frequently used applications. However, the feature didn’t take off with consumers.

Mobile trends have since moved toward infinity displays that don’t include capacitive home buttons. Several manufacturers have also been inspired by Samsung’s dual-edge curved display. The LG V30 may also be going in a similar direction.

Hardware specifications for LG V30 may include a 6-inch display, a Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. The device is expected to retain its 3.5mm audio jack and may also support wireless charging.

The LG V30 may be one of the first flagship devices to launch during the second half of 2017. Rumors suggest the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could launch as early as mid-August or in late-September. The iPhone 8 is also expected to launch in September, while the Google Pixel 2 may launch in October.
