‘Lucifer’
What will happen to (Lauren German) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis) in "Lucifer" Season 2, episode 11? FOX

The writers of “Lucifer” Season 2 recently dropped the title for episode 16: “God Johnson.”

On the show’s official Twitter account, the photo of the script for the upcoming episode revealed that “God Johnson” is written by Jason Ning and directed by Sherwin Shilati.

No other details about the episode has been released, but there are speculations that the upcoming installment will revolve around Lucifer Morningstar’s (Tom Ellis) dad. Even though Lucifer’s dad is called God, the title of the episode hints that the newcomer may assume the life of a man named Johnson. In the premiere episode for Season 2, Lucifer’s mom took on the persona of a woman named Charlotte (Tricia Helfer).

Unfortunately, Season 2, episode 16 won’t air on FOX for another seven weeks. When “Lucifer” returns, the series will kick off with episode 11, titled “Stewardess Interruptus.” Before Lucifer reunites with God, he will first learn the truth about Chloe Decker (Lauren German) from his mother.

In the midseason finale, Charlotte discovered that Chloe is a miracle baby. She was placed on Earth to one day cross paths with Lucifer. Charlotte will see this as a good opportunity to use Chloe to force Lucifer to return to Hell.

However, Lucifer also said in a previous episode that he feels Earth is his real home. After all, this is where he met new friends and developed a close relationship with Chloe. If Lucifer returns to Hell, he won’t be able to spend time with his partner. However, if he stays on Earth, Charlotte will definitely try to break them apart.

While speaking with TV Line, showrunner Ildy Modrovich said that Charlotte’s plans will certainly jeopardize Lucifer and Chloe’s relationship in the upcoming episodes.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 11 will air on FOX on Jan. 16 at 9 p.m. EST.
