Maddie Ziegler spent five years on “Dance Moms” but the dancing sensation doesn’t have all fond memories of filming the Lifetime reality series. In her new book, the 14-year-old reveals her shocking feelings on the show and seemingly shades former coach Abby Lee Miller while doing so.

“I was eight years old at the time, and there were cameramen following me around everywhere I went. I would just ignore them and go about my business. Eventually, you feel a little exposed because you’re on all the time,” Maddie wrote of her time on the show in “The Maddie Diaries: A Memoir.”

She continued, “Your life is what the show is about, but you’re also trying to live it. I just wanted to dance. I didn’t want all the drama.”

And despite being a staple on the program since its 2011 premiere, Maddie admitted to only watching one episode. “I’ve probably only seen one entire episode from start to finish,” she wrote, reports E! Online.

Maddie also seemingly shaded her relationship with Abby in the book, as pointed out by Radar Online. Maddie wrote that before she met and started working alongside pop singer Sia, she would agree to a lot of projects she wasn’t necessarily interested in.

“Before I met [Sia], I would say yes to a lot of things I didn’t want to do because I thought I had to – I didn’t want to disappoint anyone. I’d be overwhelmed by the amount of work on my plate.”

While her former “Dance Moms” teammates are busy filming Season 7B – without Abby – Maddie is on tour promoting her latest project. “Dance Moms” fans can next meet Maddie at Minnesota’s Mall of America on March 12 and Los Angeles’ Grove on March 14.
