On Sunday, a Russian defense ministry plane Tu-154 crashed after a refueling stop at Sochi, off the Black Sea coast while it was on its way to Hmeymim air base in Syria.

Until authorities establish the cause of Sunday’s plane crash that killed all 92 people aboard, Russia has grounded all Tu-154 flights, Interfax news agency reported Tuesday. The passenger's list included servicemen, journalists, a famous Russian army choir and Elizaveta Glink, executive director of a charity fund. Glink was famously known as Dr. Liza.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a state commission to investigate the crash, which will be headed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Divers found the black box located in the fin section of the Tu-154 aircraft in the Black Sea, and authorities said two other flight recorders located in the tail section of the aircraft were yet to be found.

As the year 2016 comes to a close, here's a look at some of the other major air disasters reported.
