It was a North London murder show by the Manchesters in the English Premier League on Sunday, when United shattered Arsenal, 8-2, and City routed Tottenham, 5-1.

It was Danny Welbeck, who opened the scoring in Old Trafford after getting to the end of Anderson's lofted ball to head over Szczesny. United's second goal came from Ashley Young's boot after the David De Gea's penalty save.

After that, it was Wayne Rooney, who came into action by scoring United's third and the first of his hat-trick. Just before half-time, Theo Walcott opened Arsenal's account, making it 3-1.

However, before Arsenal's fans could hope for more scoring, a swerving free-kick into the far post by Rooney gave United a lead of 4-1.

Just after three minutes, Nani brought the next nightmare for Arsenal, when he chipped it over Szczesny, as United fans roared yet again in the galleries.

Did anyone imagine that substitute Park Ji-Sung would give Arsenal the next dose of pain? May be not, but he did. At 70th minute, Park got into act and made it 6-1.

Arsenal's second goal, scored by Van Persie four minutes later, was just a consolation as Rooney got his hat-trick after 10 minutes, and Young rounded off the score 8-2.

In the Manchester City vs. Tottenham match, it was Edin Dzeko, who ruled at White Hart Lane by scoring four goals. Debutant midfielder Samir Nasri, who served up assists for Dzeko, was seriously impressive.

Younnes Kaboul's header off a corner proved nothing better than a consolation as Sergio Aguero scored the fourth one for City.

Below are the winning moments from the EPL goals frenzy.
