MAFS Vanessa Tres
Vanessa Nelson and Tres Russell wed in "Married at First Sight" Season 3, but will they stay together? FYI

First comes marriage on “Married at First Sight.” Then comes love … hopefully. Much of the excitement of the FYI reality show is waiting to see if the couples are actually good matches. While the experts do their best to pick two people whose interests and beliefs seem to align, there is no guarantee what will happen to the couples after they meet. However, everyone can make a guess. Based on first impressions from their weddings in episode 2, who do you think will stay together at the end of Season 3? Take the polls!

Sam Role and Neil Bowlus

Pros: They both seem very laid-back and outgoing. They seemed to get along really well and shared a sense of humor. Neil wasn’t afraid to comfort his new wife when she started to get emotional during a speech about her grandmother.

Cons: It wasn’t love at first sight for Sam, who worried that she had made a mistake after getting married. She said that Neil wasn’t really the type of guy she usually dated and was extremely uncomfortable when Neil revealed that his ex was at the wedding. Neil also might have trouble getting close to Sam if she continues to make a joke out of everything.

David Norton and Ashley Doherty

Pros: They are both career-oriented and seem to be somewhat religious. David made sure that he didn’t make his new wife uncomfortable when he kissed her on the hand. Ashley started to see why he was a good match for her by the end of the episode.

Cons: Ashley wasn’t immediately attracted to her husband, but she seemed to be over that issue before the reception had even ended. It’s getting close that could be a problem. The experts said Ashley is guarded and she’ll have to work on that if she wants her marriage to survive.

Vanessa Nelson and Tres Russell

Pros: Their families love each other, and they had immediate chemistry. They were the only couple to kiss on the lips during the “Married at First Sight” Season 3 weddings. Vanessa even said that he seemed too “Mr. Perfect” so far.

Cons: No real bad signs have shown up yet, but chemistry can only take you so far. Imperfections will eventually become easier to see. These two also have a lot of family baggage (Vanessa doesn’t speak to her father and Tres was abandoned by his mother) that might affect how they handle relationships.

Remember, first impressions don’t mean everything, so be prepared for the real outcomes to surprise you. Sean Varricchio and Davina Kullar shared plenty of kisses on the dance floor, but the spark quickly burned out in Season 2. Conversely, Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner had a super awkward wedding day in Season 1, but they’re still together.

“Married At First Sight” Season 3 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on FYI.
