New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur will miss time following with a non-operable knee sprain the team said Tuesday.

Brodeur was injured Sunday in the first period of a game against the Montreal Canadiens and will be replaced by Johan Hedberg while he recovers.

Brodeur holds the NHL record for wins by a goaltender with 615 and was 13-19-2 this season for the struggling Devils, though Brodeur himself has been playing close to his career-level for much of the past two months.

According to Yahoo! Sports' Greg Wyshynski, there is no timetable for Brodeur's return though the injury is listed as day-to-day.
