Meet the Top 13 contestants of Season 10 of American Idol. It's been a long road to get to this point, with auditions in Milwaukee, Nashville, and Los Angeles and then Hollywood. After performances all week, the audience voted and the finalists were announced Thursday night. This year's judges, veteran Randy Jackson, pop star Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, were all impressed with the contestants but at the end of the night had the daunting task of choosing the last three. Here is the list of the Top 13 contestants that will compete for the title of the next American Idol.
Haley impressed the judges with her rendition of Alicia Keys’ “Fallin.’” The 20-year-old from Chicago, Illinois has a soft, yet raspy voice and claims that The Beatles are her biggest inspiration.

Ashton sang “Love All over me” and showed the world her diva attitude. The judges compared her fearlessness to Diana Ross.

Paul is American Idol’s newest heartthrob. His blond hair, bright white teeth, throwback voice and rendition of “Maggie May” guaranteed him a spot in the Top 13.

Karen took a risk and sang Mariah Carey’s “Hero” for the judges. While the song may be cliché, Karen took a risk that paid off by singing half of the song in Spanish.

James has already been compared to previous American Idol contestant, Adam Lambert. James touched the audience with his story and his personal struggles, but in the end it was his talent that advanced him to the Top 13.

Stefano picked a difficult song, performing “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars. The performance was a little pitchy but his talent was enough to pass him to the finals.

Naima’s quirky style advanced her to the next round of American Idol. She sang a heartfelt rendition of Donny Hathaway’s “For All We Know.”

Thia, just 15 years old, is American Idol’s youngest-ever contestant. Her vocal talent is undeniable but it will be interesting to see how far Thia can get singing next to the grown-ups.

Scotty is the definition of the ultimate country music singer. Scotty is already a front runner for the competition. He will definitely get far.

Pia Toscano whose performance of “I’ll Stand By You” was greeted with the first standing ovation by the judges this season. Her vocals are outstanding so it will be interesting to see what other tricks she has hidden up her sleeve, will also not be able to make it to the wedding.

While Casey may not have the typical look of an ‘Idol’ he sure has got the talent. After Casey performed “I Put a Spell on You” everyone felt like he did just that.
