As Melissa Joan Hart anticipates baby number three, the Melissa & Joey actress says her prior pregnancies have proved to be great preparation for giving birth this time around.
How did Melissa Joan Hart make sure she was in optimal health?
I was in really good shape before I got pregnant with this one, the 36-year-old actress told People magazine Monday at the premiere for the pregnancy-themed film, What To Expect When You're Expecting.
I tried to set myself up, Hart said. For about a year I made sure I took the right vitamins and didn't take artificial sweeteners. I did take some precautions.
Melissa Joan Hart's pregnancy has not been all smooth-sailing for the actress who got her start on Nickelodeon's Clarissa Explains It All in the 1990s.
Hart, who has 6-year-old son Mason Walter and 4-year-old son Braydon Hart with husband Mark Wilkerson, said her latest pregnancy has her feeling really exhausted.
I don't know if it's [from taking care of] the two older ones, I don't know if it's because I'm older ... but I feel so tired all the time, she told People. I've been in bed at 8:30 every night. I tell my kids, 'Go put yourselves in bed. I gotta go to sleep.'
Hart is now in her second trimester with baby number three and said the movement inside her stomach has her sensing the kid will be a strong baby.
She said, if the kicks get stronger, I don't know if I can handle it.
After Clarissa, Joan Hart starred in the sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch from 1996 to 2003. She currently stars in the sitcom Melissa & Joey with Joey Lawrence.
Hart said on her Twitter account Wednesday that she was set to do radio interviews on Sirius XM today to promote the season premiere of Melissa & Joey, which airs tonight at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST.
