Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney David Walgren holds up evidence for the jury during his closing arguments during the final stage of Dr. Conrad Murray's defense in his involuntary manslaughter trial in the death of singer Michael Jackson at the Los Angeles Superior Court in Los Angeles, California, November 3, 2011. Murray has pleaded not guilty and faces four years in prison and the loss of his medical licenses if convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death. Reuters

A prosecutor and a defense lawyer of Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray trial gave their intense closing arguments, and hand over the case to jury for a verdict.

David Walgren, the deputy Los Angeles District Attorney, claimed that the overwhelming evidence exposed Murray's criminal negligence.

The evidence in this case is overwhelming. It is absolutely clear that Conrad Murray acted with criminal negligence, that Conrad Murray caused the death of Michael Jackson, that Conrad Murray left Prince and Paris and Blanket without a father, Walgren said.

Walgren recalled the emotional impact of Jackson's death on the singer's three children.

For them this case does not end today, tomorrow or the next day. For Michael Jackson's children this case will go on forever because they do not have a father.

Lead defense attorney Ed Chernoff indicated that Walgren was playing on the jurors' sympathies by unnecessarily identifying the star's children.

Prince, 14, Paris, 13, and Blanket, nine, had been looking forward to seeing their father's record-breaking 50-date comeback series of concerts at the O2 Arena in London.

Walgren also said Murray had an employer, employee relationship with Jackson and not just the doctor and patient relationship.

The employment for $150,000 a month made Murray feel he hit the lottery and he became a drug dealer since then, according to reports.

Conrad Murray sought payment for services rendered, the services being supplying propofol to Michael Jackson in his bedroom nightly for two months, Walgren said.

Propofol is a surgical anaesthetic intended only for use in hospitals.

Michael Jackson trusted Conrad Murray, trusted him with his life, trusted him with the future lives of his children, trusted that as he slept Conrad Murray would watch over him so that when he awoke he could share a meal with his children. Conrad Murray corrupted that relationship and Michael Jackson paid with his life. Walgren added.

At the end of Walgren's closing argument, he said to the jury, Even if you accept the defense version of the facts, Conrad Murray is guilty of involuntary manslaughter. I ask that you return with a verdict of guilty because Conrad Murray caused the death of Michael Jackson. He abandoned Michael Jackson. Conrad Murray gave him propofol. Justice demands a guilty verdict.

The main standpoint of Ed Chernoff - the defense lawyer - is that the prosecution absolutely failed to prove a crime...Prosecutors tried to create a drip that never existed. They won't tell you what they really want. They want you to convict Dr. Murray for the actions of Michael Jackson.

He suggested the jury to take this case away from Mickael Jackson, If it were anybody [other] than Michael Jackson, would this doctor be here today? Chernoff added, if you're going to hold Dr. Murray responsible, don't do it because it's Michael Jackson.

I hope you find Dr. Murray not guilty. Thank you. Chernoff said to conclude his closing argument.

The jury is expected to give a verdict as soon as Friday.
