The wife of former New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles isn’t thrilled with the way that the organization has treated her husband.

Earlier this week, the Saints announced their intention to trade or release the 30-year-old running back after three productive seasons in New Orleans. Michel Sproles bashed the Saints organization in a Wednesday Instragram rant for their decision to dump her husband.

“I am so disappointed in the Saints organization & the way they are treating my husband,” Sproles wrote. “I understand this is a brutal business but when u have a good guy who works hard & does a lot for the community u would think they would show a little more respect.

“To verbalize to him that they will release him so at least he can choose the team he wants to spend his last few years in the NFL on & then take it back without a word & try to trade him is f----d up.”

Shortly after posting the message, Sproles decided to delete it. But not before New York Post columnist Bart Hubbuch, who writes about the NFL, captured a screenshot of the Instagram post, which can be viewed below.

Michel Sproles posted her Instagram rant just one day after her husband retweeted a tweet from ESPN. That tweet said the Saints planned to trade Sproles rather than grant him an outright release. The NFL veteran claims to have been unaware of the Saints decision until he read about it online.

“WOW!” he wrote. “The stuff u find out on twitter [sic].”

Still, the Sproles family won’t have to worry about the Saints front office for long. On Thursday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that New Orleans had traded Sproles to the Philadelphia Eagles.
