Michelle Obama In Her Wedding Dress, A Fashionable Addition To Pinterest

Michelle Obama pinned a photo of her and Barack from their wedding day on October 3, 1992. In the photo, a candid shot, one can see that Michelle was a style icon even then.

Her wedding dress was an off-the-shoulder, long-sleeved white gown with a sheer, crepe overlay. Atop her head sat a princess-length veil that cascaded down her back. She accessorized with diamond drop-earrings and a blooming bouquet of white flowers.

Michelle met Barack in the summer of 1989. She was 25-years-old at the time and an associate at Sidley & Austin, a corporate law firm in Chicago, according to the Washington Post.  The firm assigned her to mentor the new 27-year-old summer associate who had just graduated from Harvard Law. His name was Barack Obama. 

He sounded too good to be true, she told David Mendell, author of Obama: From Promise to Power. I had dated a lot of brothers who had this kind of reputation coming in, so I figured he was one of these smooth brothers who could talk straight and impress people. So we had lunch, and he had this bad sport jacket and a cigarette dangling from his mouth, and I thought: 'Oh, here you go. Here's this good-looking, smooth-talking guy. I've been down this road before.'

Andrew Goldstein, a Sidley attorney who worked with Michelle, told the Washington Post that he believe Michelle was just as into Barack as he was into her. She used her charm, good looks and dazzling smile to win over the newbie prodigy, who the whole firm was talking about. She is just as charismatic as he is, he says. 

Now, 20 years later, the two are conquering the world together.
