Chip is going to meet his real dad in the next episode of “The Mick.”

According to the synopsis for Season 2, episode 12 of the Fox comedy, Chip (Thomas Barbusca), Mickey (Kaitlin Olson), Sabrina (Sofia Black-D’Elia), Ben (Jack Stanton) and Alba (Carla Jimenez) spend a weekend at the family’s Manhattan penthouse. And while there, Chip gets to visit his biological father (Jay Mohr).

At the end of Season 2, episode 10, Chip found out that Howard (Matthew Glave) is not his real dad. With the help of a friend from the FBI, Howard ran a DNA match for Chip, and it turned out that his biological dad has a prior arrest record.

However, based on the promo photos for the next episode, Chip’s real dad is not in jail. In one of the pictures, Chip’s biological dad is seen having a meal with someone at a restaurant. In another photo, Mickey, Sabrina and Chip appear to be at the same eatery stalking his dad.

Elsewhere in the next episode, Mickey finds out about what happened to Jimmy (Scott MacArthur). In the trailer for the installment, a couple of police officers drop by the house, looking for Mickey. Thinking that the officers are there to arrest her, Mickey tries to hide away only to stumble on the stairs. Mickey is relieved when she learns that the officers are just there to give information about Jimmy. But that relief quickly turns into sorrow when one of the officers reveals that Jimmy’s dead.

Jimmy was last seen in Season 2, episode 9, in which he and Mickey ultimately ended whatever relationship they had. Series creators Dave and John Chernin announced MacArthur’s departure from the show in an interview with Den of Geek last December, so it’s likely that the officer in the trailer is telling the truth when she tells Mickey that Jimmy is dead.

While viewers may no longer see Jimmy on the show, MacArthur isn’t completely leaving the series. “Scott’s still a writer on the show, so it’s not like he’s completely leaving us,” John said.

“The Mick” Season 2, episode 12, titled “The City,” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at 9:30 p.m. EST on Fox. Watch the trailer for the episode below:
