Morgan Stanley on Friday said Jay Mantz would be vice chairman of its real estate investing group.

Mantz previously was president and chief investment officer of the unit, spokeswoman Alyson Barnes said.

Morgan Stanley also said that John Klopp and Olivier de Poulpiquet take over as co-chief executive officers and co-chief investment officers of the unit, reporting to Mantz.

Owen Thomas, who was chairman and CEO of the real estate investing group, will now be only chairman. He also serves as CEO of Morgan Stanley Asia.

Before their promotions, Klopp led the unit's Americas unit and de Poulpiquet was head of Europe.
