Dataminers recently found some new "Mortal Kombat 11" characters after looking into the codes from the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Apparently, eight post-release DLC characters will be added to the game, comprising of both returning and new guest characters. Here’s what we know about the “Mortal Kombat 11” leak.

According to LeoNatan’s thread on the Mortalkombatleaks Reddit, nine characters were found in the game’s code, but only Shang Tsung was among the confirmed ones. The upcoming characters to “Mortal Kombat 11” will reportedly be Joker, Nightwolf, Sindel, Terminator, Ash, Spawn, Sheeva, and Fujin.

Some of the names in the list are "Mortal Kombat" characters that had not been seen in the previous “Mortal Kombat X” entry and guest characters from other famous Hollywood movies and media. The leaker also showed how to access the codes on the thread.

The returning “Mortal Kombat” characters from the list are Sindel, Nightwolf, Sheeva and Fujin. While their roles in the story are yet to be known, Sindel is Kitana’s mother and is actually a queen that uses her supersonic voice to fight in battles. On the other hand, Fujin is an Elder God like Raiden, who watches over Earthrealm, the world of humans and the protagonists.

Meanwhile, Nightwolf is an Earthrealmer that used Native American shaman spells, technology, and absorbing evil energies throughout his iterations. Nightwolf appeared in the previous "Mortal Kombat X" as an unplayable enemy character where he was also a revenant warrior alongside Liu Kang and Smoke.

Lastly, Sheeva is Shokan warrior, similar to Goro and Kintaro, that also has four arms and is known as one of the hard-hitting characters in her appearances.

In the previous game, many guest characters coming from horror movies became playable and “Mortal Kombat 11” seems to have its own share of fictional Hollywood stars. The character Ash could be Ash from the "Evil Dead" series, while Terminator could be the indestructible and stoic T-800 robot played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Aside from movie characters, comic book characters such as Spawn and Joker would also be included in the game too. Since the developers have comic book character experience from their "Injustice" games, adding them won’t be a problem.

As of now, Netherrealm Studios has not released any new updates about these postrelease characters after Shang Tsung.

“Mortal Kombat 11” is set to be released on April 23.
