Nadya Suleman, the infamous Octomom who made headlines after giving birth to eight children in 2009, filed for bankruptcy protection Monday, stating that the decision was for the best for her children.

I have had to make some very difficult decisions this year, and filing Chapter 7 was one of them, Suleman said in an email to the Orange County Register.

One of those decisions may include taking up the offer to act in a porn movie, a proposal that Suleman earlier declined after her children were born. However, the Octomom has decided against kissing or touching if offered a role in an adult film.

You know if the opportunity comes up I'll be the first to admit, I'm gonna eat my words, Octomom said on CNN's Showbiz Tonight. Because all that matters is that I can take care of my family.

If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's going to allow me to get us out of here and into a very safe huge home that they deserve, then I'm going to do it, she added.

The 36-year-old single mother had earlier posed topless for UK's Closer magazine, which she defended then by saying that it would help her provide for her family.

Suleman, who has six other children in addition to her large brood, is reportedly facing financial difficulties, with her debt said to have mounted to around $1 million against her assets of only $50,000, the Orange County Register reported.

Her La Habra home in California is due for a foreclosure auction after she failed to meet mortgage requirements. Suleman has fallen back on her rent payments towards the four-bedroom house, thus owing the home's previous owner over $30,000.

Suleman is now looking towards buying a home without mortgage. God forbid that we lose the house, I have a very good friend and her husband -- huge house, and they're offering, she said, according to the CNN.

Suleman will now have her assets liquidated to help pay back her creditors, some of whom are believed to be Verizon Wireless, Southern California Edison, Department of Motor Vehicles, DirecTV, Whittier Christian School (where some of her children attend), the city's water department, a gardener and her father Ed Doud, according to the Orange County Register.
