“Nashville” Season 4 is about to go on hiatus, but it will bring major drama to ABC first. In the winter finale, Markus (Riley Smith) will be getting ready to launch his album, but he’ll have some trouble. While Rayna (Connie Britton) helps him, she’ll also have to make a major decision about her life with Deacon (Charles Esten), according to the episode 10 synopsis.

Rayna has secured Markus a spot on “Good Morning America.” They’ll broadcast his concert live from Nashville, but Markus suddenly gets cold feet. “Come show time, Markus finds he’s anything but ready,” the synopsis teases. Rayna needs Markus to be successful to keep her label alive. Will he let her down?

In this episode, titled "We’ve Got Nothing But Love To Prove," Rayna also has to worry about her personal life. “Living in the same house, but feeling further apart than ever, Rayna and Deacon face a big decision,” the summary says. In the promo video, it looks like their “big decision” could be drastic. It’s either a wedding or a breakup.

They made up after their fight about Markus, and it seems like things are headed in a good direction. Deacon has a ring and says that he wants to properly propose to Rayna. Apparently, he isn’t happy with his hospital bed proposal from last year. However, he might change his mind after Rayna and Markus share a kiss. Elsewhere in the “Nashville” midseason finale, Luke (Will Chase) will still try to fix his relationship with Colt (Keean Johnson), but he won’t get very far. To make matters worse, he’ll have trouble with his business ventures as well. “Luke’s relationship with Colt continues to be strained while Luke learns of another setback to launching his brand,” the synopsis reveals.

Though the synopsis doesn’t mention it, the winter finale will also introduce Cash Gray (Jessy Schram). She is “a singer songwriter who is just starting to come into her own, having co-written a few songs with Kacey Musgraves,” Deadline reports. In the pictures below, it looks like she meets Deacon, Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella).

“Nashville” Season 4, episode 10 airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
