Three prominent high seeds advanced to the Round of 32 on Friday with impressive wins on Friday afternoon.

The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils had trouble extending a sizable lead on Albany, but were still able to finish off the Great Danes, 73-61. Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee led Duke with 26 and 23 points respectively, and combined to shoot an impressive 19 of 23 from the field.

On Sunday, Duke will face No. 7 Creighton, who edged Cincinnati, 67-63, in the Midwest Region.

Miami, seeded No. 2 in the East Region, cruised past Pacific, 78-49. The Hurricanes led by 21 at the half, as nine players scored at least five points. Durand Scott led all scorers with 21 points on six-of-10 shooting.

Up next for Miami will be Illinois, who defeated Colorado in a game that was tight until the final minute, 57-49.

No. 1 seed Indiana cruised past James Madison in the East Region, 82-63. The Hoosiers also led by 21 points at halftime, and shot an excellent 52.7 percent from the field. While Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo didn’t have go on a scoring spree, Indiana received strong performances from Yogi Ferrell, who scored 16 points, and Will Sheehey, who added 15.

Indiana will next face Temple, who held off North Carolina State, 76-72. Khalif Wyatt scored 31 points to lead the Owls.
