The Samsung Galaxy S8 has long been rumored to have an edge-to-edge pressure sensitive display. If this is proven to be correct, it remains to be seen what the company does with its Edge variant, which has accompanied the past two flagships — S6 and S7.

If two recent videos from Samsung Display are an indication, the company might have something else up its sleeve this time. The videos showcase a device that proves some S8 rumors correct and some wrong, featuring a device with a flat AMOLED display, and from the looks of it, a 6-inch screen. Could it be that Samsung is going to come out with a large S8 variant, probably the S8 Plus?

The videos are in Korean, so the context is not too clear. But, from what we can pick up from the visuals, the device seems entirely new and does not even have a home button. It also has very thin bezels and looks a lot like a stretched out version of a Galaxy S-series device.

If the smartphone used in the video is, in fact, Galaxy S8, another rumor might turn out to be correct — the device will most probably have a display-embedded fingerprint sensor.

Samsung has a habit of showing off features on its flagship devices, and has, in the past, done so for the Samsung Pay feature in 2016.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to launch at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.
