Gainers

Seagate Technology PLC (STX) stock jumped 13.93 percent to $13.74 in the pre-market trading. Adjusted profit for the first quarter was $146 million or $0.34 per share, down from $180 million or $0.37 per share last year. Revenue rose to $2.81 billion from $2.70 billion. Analysts had expected profit of $0.31 per share on revenue of $2.90 billion. The company's board of directors has approved a quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share, payable on November 18 to shareholders of record on November 3.

Synaptics Inc. (SYNA) stock grew 11.29 percent to $30.07 in the pre-market trading. Adjusted profit for the first quarter was $19.15 million or $0.57 per share, down from $24.23 million or $0.67 per share last year. Revenue fell to $133.45 million from $153.19 million. Analysts had expected profit of $0.47 per share on revenue of $132.62 million. For the second quarter, the company expects revenue of $141 million to $149 million, with both PC and non-PC revenue projected to sequentially grow based on seasonal trends, while Street predicts $146.11 million.

China Ceramics Co., Ltd. (CCCL) stock rose 4.53 percent to $3 in the pre-market trading.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR) stock gained 4.35 percent to $71.05 in the pre-market trading. Sales of coffee by U.S. retailers climbed 23 percent in the 13-week ended Sept. 25 as demand increased for ground beans and single-cup packets, market researcher SymphonyIRI Group told Bloomberg.

SanDisk Corp. (SNDK) stock increased 3.45 percent to $47.07 in the pre-market trading. Adjusted profit for the third quarter was $292 million or $1.20 per share, down from $311 million or $1.30 per share last year. Revenue rose to $1.42 billion from $1.23 billion. Analysts had expected profit of $1.07 per share on revenue of $1.42 billion.

Losers

Informatica Corp. (INFA) stock fell 5.56 percent to $42.50 in the pre-market trading. Adjusted profit for the third quarter was $38.1 million or $0.34 per share, up from $29.4 million or $0.28 per share last year. Revenue grew 21 percent to $195.9 million. Analysts had expected profit of $0.32 per share on revenue of $195.4 million. For the fourth quarter, the company expects adjusted earnings of $0.43 to $0.45 per share and revenue of $218 million to $228 million, while Street predicts profit of $0.44 per share on revenue of $228.18 million.

For the full year 2011, the company projects adjusted earnings of $1.38 to $1.40 per share and revenue of $775 million to $785 million, while Street predicts profit of $1.37 per share on revenue of $783.52 million. Looking ahead into the fiscal 2012, the company anticipates adjusted earnings of $1.57 to $1.67 per share and revenue of $880 million to $910 million, while Street predicts profit of $1.66 per share on revenue of $910.24 million.

Rediff.com India Ltd. (REDF) stock tumbled 5.52 percent to $6.51 in the pre-market trading. Loss for the second quarter widened to $2.64 million or $0.096 per Amercian Depository Share (ADS) from $1.59 million or $0.057 per ADS last year. Revenue rose to $5.10 million from $5.07 million.

Acme Packet, Inc. (APKT) stock declined 1.65 percent to $37.50 in the pre-market trading. Profit for the third quarter was $7.93 million or $0.11 per share, down from $10.46 million or $0.15 per share last year. Adjusted earnings rose to $0.21 per share from $0.20 per share. Revenue rose to $70.62 million from $56.61 million. Analysts had expected profit of $0.22 per share on revenue of $70.97 million. The company reaffirmed its adjusted earnings guidance for the full year 2011 of $1.14 to $1.18 per share and revenue outlook of $315 million to $320 million.

LM Ericsson Telephone Co. (ERIC) stock decreased 1.29 percent to $9.98 in the pre-market trading.

ASML Holding NV (ASML) stock moved down 0.18 percent to $39.3291 in the pre-market trading.
