ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars” absolutely adores giving characters makeovers. From Mona’s move from geek to glam, “Hefty Hanna’s” transformation to style queen, and Alison’s shift to Vivian Darkbloom … “Pretty Little Liars” viewers have seen it all. But expect one more makeover come Season 5.
“Kim does my hair for Hanna,” Hanna’s Ashley Benson posted on Instagram earlier this week. “And now she’s going to do my hair on the show. First on screen appearance.”
Benson continued to tease fans that her character’s “going through it this season.”
“Can’t wait for y’all to see what happens,” she continued. “#Season5.”

So, Season 5 will feature a trip to the hair salon. Exciting, right? It may not sound too thrilling – especially after Season 4’s NYC rooftop chase and gunfight. But “Pretty Little Liars” fans can’t forget that Hanna has the power to make fans sit on the edge of their seats during a trip to the dentist. Remember when “A” used gas to put Hanna under and then inserted a threatening note in between her teeth? Knowing “A,” we wouldn’t be surprised if the mysterious troublemaker did something drastic to Hanna’s hair – like chopping it off or dyeing it a crazy color! Hair salons, fortunately, don’t put their customers under, so Hanna may be safe from “A” … for now.
Viewers will have to wait and see what happens with the hair salon, but “PLL” producer and writer Joseph Dougherty also shared some photos from the set.
“Walk-ins Welcome” he posted as a caption for two empty salon chairs. Dougherty uploaded another photo of a sink, writing “Give us your head.”
But the real juicy spoiler from the producer was his final photo: “The Rosewood beauty salon specializes in complete makeovers.”
The Season 4 finale revealed that Alison was the one that helped Mona with her makeover from nerd to popular girl. Could Joseph Dougherty be teasing a storyline about Mona and Alison? Or could it possibly have something to do with Alison’s return to Rosewood?
Season 5 of “Pretty Little Liars” premieres on ABC Family on June 10 at 8 p.m. EDT. What are your thoughts and theories on the Rosewood hair salon photos? Let us know in the comments section or send a tweet to @AmandaTVScoop.
