Prince Harry Says Meghan Markle Is His ‘Ideal Girl’ Before Meeting Her
Prince Harry had a crush on Meghan Markle for two years before finally meeting her.
According to the Daily Mail, a friend of Prince Harry asked him who his ideal woman was, and he candidly replied, “Meghan Markle,” even though at that time they still haven’t met. Prince Harry is a fan of “Suits” and has watched Markle give life to the character of Rachel Zane.
Royal expert Katie Nicholl will share more details about the couple’s backstory in the documentary, “When Harry Met Meghan: A Royal Romance.” “He had a crush on Rachel Zane for two years before he met Meghan and the reason I know is because I was having drinks with one of his friends. She told me she’d been on a night out with Prince Harry. He was single at the time so she said, ‘Harry, who’s your ideal girl?’ And he said, ‘Meghan Markle from ‘Suits,’” she said.
Two years later, Prince Harry asked one of his friends to set up a meeting for the two of them, but it wasn’t a date. Instead, they had a conversation at one of the private rooms of Soho house.
“There were about seven or eight of them in altogether and it was a perfect opportunity for Harry and Meghan to come together in a really informal environment and actually talk. She was funny, feisty and confident and she wasn’t swayed or knocked down by the fact that he was Prince Harry. She thought he was terribly cute,” Nicholl added.
Months passed and Prince Harry and Markle became a couple. Now, there are speculations claiming that they are already engaged. There have also been some predictions suggesting that Prince Harry and Markle’s wedding will take place in June 2018, and their engagement announcement will happen after Queen Elizabeth II’s anniversary on Nov. 20. However, Prince Harry and Markle have not yet confirmed or denied the reports.
If a royal wedding will take place for the couple, their official ceremony won’t be done in a church because of Markle’s status as a divorcee. Instead, Prince Harry and Markle could get a blessing from the church.
