Queen Letizia of Spain has got a Barbie makeover. The 43-year-old royal has been transformed into a Barbie-style doll. The miniature version of the royal was presented for the first time at the Madrid Fashion Doll Show Convention held at the Hotel Ayre Gran Colon in Madrid from Friday through Sunday.

The doll has been dressed in the outfit the queen wore to a dinner prior to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding at the Mandarin Oriental in Hyde Park, London, in 2011.

The queen wore a dove-gray strapless gown for the British royal’s pre-wedding party. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a fitted bodice. The lace-embroidered gown had a voluminous tulle floor-sweeping skirt. It was by her go-to Spanish designer Felipe Varela.

The bottom half of the toy’s dress drew inspiration from Letizia’s dress worn in London. Meanwhile, the top half, especially the sheer sleeves, is a flashback to the dress she wore at the coronation of the Netherlands’ King Willem-Alexander in 2013.

Letizia has been immortalized by Russian artist Vasili Barbier from the AFD Group. The company said it modeled the doll’s clothing on the two outfits previously worn by the queen, according to El Mundo.

The doll has green eyes like Letizia’s. The color of her hair and one of her favorite hairstyles, the classic chignon, have also been replicated. The miniature piece is not for sale and will later be given to the queen as a gift for her social work on behalf of the Spanish people. It will also not be available for bidding on eBay.

However, Letizia is not the first in the family to get a Barbie doll makeover. Spanish doll manufacturer, Berenguer, has named two of its lifelike-baby dolls after the queen's daughters Leonor and Sofia. This apart, Spanish company Antonio Juan also has created Infanta Leonor and Infanta Sofia dolls.

Letizia is considered a fashion and style icon across the world. She became the queen of Spain on June 19, 2014, when her husband King Felipe VI was sworn in as king after the abdication of his father Juan Carlos I. The couple has two daughters Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia.

AFD has also created dolls of the Italian singer Rafaella Carra, Elizabeth Taylor, Whitney Houston and Lady Gaga.
