Brad Pitt’s rumored closeness with co-star Marion Cotillard has resurfaced amid gossip about Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. A new report by the National Enquirer magazine says that Pitt saved Cotillard from drowning while shooting for a scene for their upcoming movie “Allied.”

The report said that Pitt and Cotillard were shooting the scene on a small raft off Spain’s Gran Canaria island when “a freak wave smashed the tiny craft.”

“Marion went under instantly, but gallant Brad – even though weighed down by a heavy suit – dove deep, and rescued his diva as the crew chanted, ‘Vive le Americain!'” a source told the magazine.

However, the report is not likely to be true as a source told Gossip Cop that the account mentioned in the National Enquirer’s report “didn’t happen.”

Over the last several months, Pitt and Jolie have been battling divorce rumors. Reports have said that Jolie is upset with Pitt over his friendship with Cotillard. However, those reports were debunked by Gossip Cop.

Some reports also claimed that Jolie and Pitt have been fighting with each other over their careers. The two are reportedly currently renting an apartment in London while he films “Allied.”
