Washington Redskins quarterback and Baylor University alum Robert Griffin III may stay poised when he’s facing a blitz, but he doesn’t take too kindly to watching his old school lose.

After Baylor women’s basketball’s stunning 82-81 loss to Louisville on Sunday, RG3 took to Twitter to rant about the rough style of play that the Cardinals used to upend the Bears.

A 2011 graduate of Baylor, Griffin’s dedication to the school is known to extend far beyond its football team. The 23-year-old star maintains close contact with student-athletes, including dominant women’s basketball player Brittney Griner.

Throughout the rant, Griffin seemed particularly upset with Louisville’s physical play against Griner, who was held to just 14 points while shooting 4-10 from the field. The loss snapped Baylor’s impressive 32-game winning streak, ending the 6-foot-8 Griner’s record-breaking college career on a sour note.

“Oh...and yes I'm mad about women's basketball cuz I PUT ON for my SCHOOL!!!!,” Griffin wrote. “And there is a difference in being physical and fighting.”

The rant seemed particularly out of character for Griffin, a player known for remaining composed at all times, whether on the field or in the media. Still, RG3 made it clear that he wasn't knocking Louisville so much as defending his friends at Baylor.

"No hate on this end people Louisville won & will live to play another game #Props but that doesn't mean I have to like how it went down," Griffin wrote.
