Ricky Gervais, the man behind the original British "The Office" and some scandalous Golden Globes jokes, is at work on his next creative endeavor, a web series called "Learn English With Ricky Gervais," Vulture reports.

With all the fans Gervais has gained from "The Office," "Extras" and his standup comedy, he could probably amass a decent audience even if the series turned out to be a literal English instructional video. Whether it will continue Gervais' tradition of witty comedies or be written as a drama is unknown, but Gervais fans and all those curious about his latest project will be able to watch the first episode for free. The Hollywood Reporter also reports that the show will be subtitled in multiple languages.

The series' first episode has been completed, though no release date has been announced. After the initial episode is released for free, Gervais may charge viewers to defray the cost of production, though he says he wants to keep the cost reasonable. He explained, "Might charge a small fee or get it sponsored. Unlike the audio podcasts, this actually costs quite a bit to make, but even if we charge it will still only be a couple of quid [pounds]."
