RM Plc has said that the London Borough of Newham has chosen it to be the ICT supplier for its Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, which covers 15 schools in the borough.

RM said it would deliver the services as part of the Newham Learning Partnership (NLP), a consortium in which RM will hold a 15 per cent stake.

The project is estimated to be worth £53 million to RM over 11 years and will provide Newham schools with a sophisticate and flexible managed ICT service.

Tim Pearson, CEO of RM, said, Newham has a bold vision for education and we're delighted to be part of it. We have a long and successful track record providing innovative ICT for learners and teachers in the Borough, most recently through the Connected Learning programme which has contributed to a real improvement in standards in primary schools.
