The 2016 San Sebastian Film Festival closed yesterday, September 24 with an awards ceremony.

Veteran Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's "I am not Madame Bovary" took the top Golden Shell prize while Fan Bingbing won the best actress gong for her role in the same film.

Some of the most talented and beautiful actresses in the world had descended upon the northern Spanish seaside resort for the week-long event. Hollywood was well represented by the likes of Jennifer Connelly, Shailene Woodley and Sigourney Weaver.

The 64th edition of the festival saw 17 films in competition from China, Spain, Argentina, Chile, France, Britain, the US, Sweden, Iceland, Poland, South Korea and Japan.

Spanish actress, Inmar Cuesta, looked ravishing in a series of looks both on the red carpet and off. Other stars of European film in attendance included Barbara Goenaga, María León, Itaso Arana, Marta Etura, Isabel Peña.
