Shenhua Energy says preliminary 2010 net profit up 23 pct

China Shenhua Energy Co Ltd, the world's most valuable coal producer, posted a preliminary 22.8 percent gain in net profit for 2010, it said on Tuesday.

In a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange, Shenhua said preliminary 2010 net profit rose to 37.19 billion yuan ($5.6 billion) on a 25.3 percent rise in revenue to 152 billion yuan.
