Katy Perry, 26, went blue in a fanciful mini dress with a Smurfette printed on it, for the New York City premiere of "The Smurfs" on Sunday. She finished off her 'Smurfy' look with mini-Smurf transfers on her nails and with eyeshadow in bright blue.
Perry is going to make her animated debut on July 29 voicing a Smurfette in "The Smurfs." Apart from the popular California pop star, others who have lent their voices to the animated characters of the film include Jonathan Winters (as Papa Smurf), Anton Yelchin (as Clumsy Smurf), Alan Cumming (as Gutsy Smurf), George Lopez (as Grouchy Smurf), Fred Armisen (as Brainy Smurf), Jeff Foxworthy (as Handy Smurf), Paul Reubens (as Jokey Smurf), Gary Basaraba (as Hefty Smurf), John Oliver (as Vanity Smurf), Kenan Thompson (as Greedy Smurf), B. J. Novak (as Baker Smurf), Wolfgang Puck (as Chef Smurf), Adam Wylie (as Panicky Smurf) and Frank Welker (as Azrael the cat).
In the recently announced 2011 MTV Video Music Awards nominations, Perry led with nine nominations, followed by Adele and Kanye West with seven nominations each. Next on the list is Bruno Mars with four nods followed by Beyonce, Eminem, Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds to Mars and Nicki Minaj, having three nods each.
