  • Leva Bonaparte said Craig Conover changed a lot while dating Paige DeSorbo, especially his fashion
  • The Bourbon N' Bubbles owner said Conover wants to please his girlfriend or avoid conflict
  • Bonaparte added that Conover is not good at communicating his feelings, and his ex Naomi Olindo doesn't deserve such treatment

"Southern Charm" star Leva Bonaparte weighed in on Craig Conover and Naomie Olindo's relationship after they reunited in Season 8.

Bonaparte, 43, spoke about her pal, Conover, in her recent interview with Us Weekly, before the current season's finale Thursday. When asked if the lawyer changed, Bonaparte said, "Absolutely."

She pointed out that Conover's fashion has improved a lot. She also noted how the 33-year-old Sewing Down South founder "likes to please the person that he's dating, and he likes to keep that person happy."

Conover has been dating Paige DeSorbo since last year; they confirmed their relationship in September 2021. Bonaparte believed that his new romance was among the reasons why he was not treating his ex-girlfriend, Olindo, well.

Bonaparte is super close with the L'Abeye founder, and she wasn't happy with how Conover treated Olindo throughout the season. For her, Conover was "not the best at communicating when it's his own feelings."

"He can be a great mediator, and he's great at advice, but when it comes down to him, it's like he couldn't just say, 'This is how I feel, these are my boundaries.' And instead, it would come out [as him] screaming at Naomie, and poor Naomie doesn't deserve that," she told Us Weekly Tuesday.

On Thursday's episode, Bonaparte questioned Conover's decision to seat Olindo at a different table during a Christmas party. Olindo explained to Bonaparte the situation, but the latter couldn't hide her annoyance.

"I don't even know why I'm friends with some people," Bonaparte said. "So f—king toxic."

The Bourbon N' Bubbles owner was convinced that Conover's decisions got influenced by his desire to please or avoid conflict with DeSorbo.

"I do think that she is looking out for Craig, but she doesn't always have the context, you know what I mean?" the businesswoman explained. "And I do think that he tries to keep her happy, but Craig doesn't wanna hurt feelings. So, he doesn't always say, like, 'Hey, it makes Paige unhappy if I go to lunch with you, Naomie.' That's all you have to say, Craig."

Olindo and Conover had a lot of arguments on "Southern Charm" Season 8. In an earlier episode, Olindo told the group while dining at a restaurant to treat the waitress better because everyone was making conversations, leaving the waitress uncomfortable about who to talk to.

Conover, who bartended for seven years, questioned Olindo's suggestion because she had no experience working in the food and beverage industry.

"All I'm saying is, we should acknowledge her because clearly, it's like a big group," she responded.

Olindo also confronted Conover for the mean words he said against her, calling her "crazy ex-girlfriend" at the Friendsgiving, which he denied. He shouted at her, "Just stop," adding, "Please move on with your f---ing life. Seriously."

The cast of "Southern Charm" will meet again for the reunion. The two-part special will kick off on Oct. 6.
