Maya’s (Minnie Driver) will be reunited with a man from her past in Season 1, episode 14 of “Speechless.”

The synopsis for the episode, titled “V-A-L-- VALENTINE’S D-A-- DAY,” reveals that the DiMeo matriarch crosses paths with her ex-fiancé Ethan and asks for his help in figuring out the perfect gift for her husband Jimmy (John Ross Bowie) who was his former roommate.

Ken Marino, who is best known for his role as Dr. Glenn Richie on “Childrens Hospital,” plays Ethan in the episode. Marino most recently recurred as Gus on ABC’s “Fresh off the Boat” and as Will on CBS’ “Life in Pieces.”

In addition to his upcoming appearance on “Speechless,” the 48-year-old actor can also be seen as Victor Pulak in Netflix’s “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later,” which is expected to be released sometime this year. He is also set to reprise his role as Brandt Stone in Season 3 of The CW’s “iZombie,” which premieres on April 4.

Kelly King also appears in episode 14 of “Speechless” as Ethan’s wife. King’s most recent acting credits include CBS’ “Rush Hour,” NBC’s “Heartbeat,” and The CW’s “Jane the Virgin.” Marin Hinkle (Dr. Miller), Anjini Azhar (Veronica) and Lauryn Speights also guest star in the same episode.

Elsewhere in the upcoming installment, Ray (Mason Cook) is thrilled to find out that he has a secret admirer, but will he learn who it is? JJ (Micah Fowler) and Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough), meanwhile, realize that distributing candy-grams at a Valentine’s Day party is more challenging than they expected. Ray and JJ’s sister Dylan (Kyla Kennedy) also appears in the episode.

“Speechless” Season 1, episode 14 airs on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 8:30 p.m. EST on ABC. The episode was directed by Stuart McDonald from a script written by Shana Goldberg-Meehan and Niki Schwartz-Wright.
