Stephen Colbert is throwing his second annual Rocktaugustfest music festival this summer on the USS Intrepid, which sits in New York City Harbor. The Falming Lips, fun., Grandmaster flash, Grizzly Bear, and Santigold will all appear at StePhestColbchella '012, which will accommodate about 1500 people, according to The AV Club.

Tickets to the event are free but fans will still have to get tickets in advance on ColbertNation.com. It will be on Friday, August 10th starting at 7:00 pm. "The Colbert Report" twitter feed is giving away tickets to 100 fans who have the best reason they should be able to attend. Use the hash tag #colbchellatix by 3:00 Wednesday.

When he was announcing the artists, "The Colbert Report" host told his audience that he knows Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza are "the hottest bands" but StePhestColbchella '012 will be better because of the venue.

"Nation get ready to rock, in two weeks. The only thing bigger than the festival itself is this year's venue," Colbert said on his show. "You may know her from her work capturing the Marshall Islands in World War II. She displaces 41,434 tons... Ladies and gentlemen: the mother******g USS Intrepid and s**t."

"We are gonna rock the boat, which won't be easy," Colbert said in a press release.

It's the second StePhestColbchella. Last year artists included Jack White, Florence + The Machine, Bon Iver and Talib Kweli. Rocktaugustfest will also be taped and a performance along with an interview with each artist will be shown on "The Colbert Report" during the week of August 13.

Colbert and his fellow Comedy Central host Jon Stewart held their own political event in Washington D.C. called "The Rally to Restore Sanity"." The event was a huge success, attracting an estimated 215,000 people (per CBS News) and featured Colbert in full character as the conservative talk show host.
