Although Harvey (Gabriel Macht) offered Mike (Patrick J. Adams) the opportunity to be a consultant for Pearson Specter Litt following his prison stint, the former fake lawyer will still try to look for a new position outside the law firm when “Suits” Season 6 returns to USA Network later this month. But will Mike manage to score a new job despite his criminal records?

TV Guide revealed that Mike is actually going to be hired by a very generous person. His new work, however, is only going to be temporary, as his prison history will affect his new employment.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last September, Adams said that the show’s winter premiere (Season 6, episode 11) will find “Mike … desperately searching for where he’s going to fit next and realizing that even though he’s paid the price and done his time [in jail] that it’s still something that’s going to get in the way of him accomplishing his dreams.”

“He can’t really shake the fact that he was sent to prison,” Adams, who also directed the episode, said of what fans can expect from his character in the first episode following the show’s hiatus.

While it’s unclear what Mike’s next step will be following his temporary respite, promotional photos for the back six episodes of the season seem to suggest that Mike is going to accept Harvey’s job offer.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Yahoo TV, series creator Aaron Korsh revealed that Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Tara (Carly Pope) — who’s expecting her ex-boyfriend’s child — will ask themselves if they rushed their engagement. “Louis is going to shoot himself in the foot,” Korsh teased. “And then the question is, can they survive? Hopefully they can.”

Korsh also revealed that Donna (Sarah Rafferty) is also going to think of her future following Jessica’s (Gina Torres) sudden departure from the firm. “She has an arc that I like to think is very fun, but also has some real serious underpinnings for her whole sense of self,” Korsh said.

“Suits” Season 6, episode 11, titled “She’s Gone,” airs on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
