Kara (Melissa Benoist) is getting some help from Mon-El (Chris Wood) in recapturing Livewire (Brit Morgan) in Season 2, episode 10 of “Supergirl.”

According to the synopsis for the episode, titled “We Can Be Heroes,” Kara enlists Mon-El’s help in catching Livewire, who breaks out of prison. When the electric-powered villainess shows up and attacks National City Police Department, the Girl of Steel takes the Daxamite with her to stop the baddie once and for all. Things, however, go wrong when Mon-El puts Supergirl first before the poor civilians.

As viewers know, Mon-El has feelings for Kara, so his decision to look out for her safety before anyone else isn’t surprising at all. Kara and Mon-El’s relationship has taken a romantic turn since the show’s midseason finale (Season 2, episode 8), in which the alien refugees shared a kiss while the latter was recuperating from the Medusa virus. The Daxamite, however, pretended that the kiss never happened at the end of the episode.

“There’s definitely a little bit of Sam and Diane from ‘Cheers’ in their relationship, her being the more mature, put-together one, and him being a lovable cad,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine last November, when asked if the two are going to be romantically together later in the season. “Whether or not they’re going to get there is part of the fun of watching this season.”

Elsewhere in Season 2, episode 10, James (Mehcad Brooks) finally decides to come clean with Kara about his vigilante identity, Guardian. M’gann (Sharon Leal), meanwhile, has a psychic attack and collapses into a coma.

“Supergirl” Season 2, episode 10 is directed by Rebecca Johnson from a script written by Caitlin Parrish and Katie Rose Roger. The episode airs on Monday, Jan. 30 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
