“Teen Wolf” fans are excited for the series to return on Monday for Season 5, but details of where the series left off might be a little blurry. The first five minutes of the season premiere certainly didn’t help viewers recall what happened in Season 4, but hopefully a quick recap will be more useful. Check out where our favorite characters left off last season:

Scott: Kate (Jill Wagner) kidnapped Scott (Tyler Posey) to turn him into a Berserker, which was supposed to help Peter (Ian Bohen) steal his power and become the Alpha. Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and the pack had to go down to La Iglesia in Mexico to save him. Though his transition into a monster had already begun, Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) talked Scott down from being a Berserker. When Peter went after Liam, Scott became the True Alpha and defeated – but didn’t kill – Peter.

Derek: While attempting to save Scott, Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) was attacked by a Berserker and stabbed in the stomach. It looked like he would die, and it seemed like he did – until he turned into a wolf. We’re not talking about Tyler Hoechlin wearing prosthetics and pretending to be a wolf. Derek’s werewolf form evolved into a real wolf.

Kate: With the help of Braeden (Meagan Tandy) and the Calaveras, Kate’s Berserkers were taken down. While Kate was in shock over Derek’s transformation, Chris Argent (JR Bourne) shot her with yellow wolfsbane. It didn’t kill her, and she fled the scene once she realized Peter wasn’t going to win this battle. Chris decided to go after her with the Calveras.

Peter: After another failed plan to gain power, Peter was sent to Eichen House at the end of the “Teen Wolf” Season 4 finale. He was in a Mountain Ash cell with Dr. Valack (Steven Brand), which should keep in out of trouble for a while.

Lydia: Peter and Kate kept Lydia (Holland Roden) busy in Beacon Hills while her friends went down to Mexico. She and Mason (Khylin Rhambo) were trapped in the school with a Berserker. Luckily, Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) came to the rescue. He didn’t have superpowers, but he had explosives. He blew up the Berserker sent after Lydia and Mason. After they defeated the monster, Lydia agreed to help Parrish (Ryan Kelley) figure out what kind of supernatural creature he is.

Malia: The werecoyote got to ride to Mexico with Peter, who was pretending to help the gang at the beginning of the episode. As she talked to her biological father, Malia (Shelley Hennig) got some advice about control. He claimed that Scott was wrong about a link between their control and humanity. While Malia may not have bonded with her father, she might be one step closer to finding her biological mother. Braeden revealed that the one case she could never solve was the Desert Wolf. She might have some info that could help the werecoyote.

In “Teen Wolf” Season 5, Lydia will be in Eichen House, so she could possibly meet up with Peter. However, she and her friends will also be busy dealing with senior year and their new nemesis, the Dread Doctors. The villains are scientists with a supernatural obsession that could be deadly for the Beacon Hills crew.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 will also test relationships. While some couples will go through issues, Scott and Stiles will have some major disagreements that could put their bromance in trouble.

“Teen Wolf” Season 5 premieres on Monday at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV. The second part of the premiere will air Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
