Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa Guidice and her husband, Joe, have gotten some bad news ahead of the Christmas holiday.

A grand jury on Passaic County, N.J. on Tuesday, indicted Joe Guidice, a former developer, on charges that include wrongfully using identifying information of another and impersonation, according to People.com.

The first charge carries as sentence of up to 10 years in prison while the second charge carries an 18-month prison term, the report noted.

People.com reported that the indictment against Joe Guidice alleged that he used his brother Pietro Giudice's information to get a driver's license at the department of motor vehicles in Paterson, N.J. The Web site stated that among the brother's information that Joe Guidice, 40, used were a marriage and birth certificate for Pietro Guidice.

Joe Guidice's license was suspended at that time because of a DUI.

Back in March, People.com reported that the Passaic County's Prosecutor's Office stated that Joe Guidice fraudulently got a new driver's license in June 2010 by using his brother's information. His licence was suspended because of a Jan. 14, 2010 DUI incident that ended when Joe Guidice crashed into a telephone pole.

Joe Guidice had denied any wrong doing and had told the media that he and his wife were being targeted because of their famous Bravo reality TV show.

They didn't even catch me driving, he said at the time, as reported by People.com. They came to my house and said you're driving with your brother's license and then they got me with some kind of stupid charge.
