With the U.S. Open looming, Tiger Woods is currently ranked seventh in the world, while Rory McIlroy is ranked sixth, a career best for the young Northern Ireland star.

The two prominent golf stars switched spots in the world rankings.

Woods suffered an Achilles tendon strain on April 26th, and was expected to miss roughly three weeks.

McIlroy will set about defending his Wells Fargo Championship in in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday.

Lee Westwood is currently atop the ranking board, followed by Martin Kaymer, Luke Donald, and Phil Mickelson.
