Looking forward to “Titanfall?” Want to party with Respawn and Microsoft? Xbox One will be hosting a launch celebration in Austin, Texas at SXSW on March 10, with Respawn founder Vince Zampella and Community Manager Abbie Heppe – along with Xbox Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi.

The launch party will also be attended by fans, developers and SXSW attendees. Xbox Director of Programming Larry Hyrb posted about the celebration on his blog on Feb. 27. Hyrb will also be attending the event.

Los Angeles-born Childish Gambino will also perform at the launch. Rooster Teeth, Xbox Live Gamerscore, GameTrailers TV, Spike TV’s Geoff Keighley and Twitch’s Jon Carnage will also be in attendance, along with various other gaming personalities.

There will also be more than 6,000 midnight openings nationwide to celebrate the game’s March 11 release date.

Microsoft recently announced a limited edition “Titanfall” Xbox One bundle will be available on March 11. The bundle will come with a standard Xbox One, wireless controller, wired headset, “Titanfall” download code and a one-month Xbox Live Gold subscription. Unfortunately, the bundle won’t come with the limited edition “Titanfall” controller.

Xbox One is already rolling out the updates for the upcoming first-person shooter. “In many ways, the launch of ‘Titanfall’ will enable us to deliver the first truly next generation multiplayer game -- one that will take advantage of the new party and chat improvements we’re delivering, build on the power of the cloud in a way only Microsoft can and connect fans on Xbox Live, home of the best multiplayer and service in gaming,” Corporate Vice President Yusuf Mehdi said in a blog post on Feb. 24. “With Xbox One, we invested in features like multiplayer alerts so you never miss a match while watching TV and so much more.”

“Titanfall” will launch on March 11 in North America and two days later in Europe. The title has already taken more than 60 awards at its E3 2013 premiere, including a record-breaking six E3 Critics Awards. “Titanfall” also won Best in Show awards from IGN, Destructoid and Game Informer.

In the game, players are able to fight on foot or as free-running pilots inside mech-style walkers called “Titans” to complete team missions and goals. The title is online multiplayer only, but it injects single-player elements such as plot, character interaction and non-player characters into its matches. Up to 12 players can participate at once.
