The chances of Tony Parker being able to participate in the 2012 London Olympics are getting slimmer by the day.

The French basketball player's recent eye injury, which he sustained during a New York night club brawl between R&B singer Chris Brown and YMCMB rapper Drake, may end up keeping him out of the games.

Parker, who plays for the San Antonio Spurs, was scheduled to suit up with the French national team last week, but the severity of his injury is preventing him from even stepping foot on a plane.

The three-time NBA champion was at W.I.P nightclub in SoHo on June 15 when a glass shard from a thrown bottle penetrated 99 percent of his left eye, according to the Associated Press.

After going under the knife to have the shard removed, Parker posted an interview on his website saying,I almost lost my eye.

The 6-foot-2 point guard has been sequestered in his hotel room where he is required to apply five different kinds of medication to the injury every two hours. As a result, Parker says he's been suffering from hallucinations.

When asked whether he will make a full recovery, Parker sais, Anything can happen, including me being out of the Olympics. The decision doesn't belong to me anymore. It's in the hands of the doctor and San Antonio, the Frenchman explained. I didn't have luck, but I came out well from my misfortune. It could have been worse. The rest of my career is not in question. I just have to wait for the injury to heal itself.

Parker said he was a under the exclusive care of a specialist in New York, but the Spurs are very worried.

Eight others, including Chris Brown, his girlfriend and his bodyguard, were also injured in the fight that started when members of Drake's entourage stopped Brown as he was leaving W.I.P. The fight escalated and bottles were thrown, according to police.
