Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-NY on Thursday has decided again not to take questions from the media on a controversy over an underwear crotch photo sent through his Twitter account.

Weiner, who has previously called the matter a distraction from his duties as a Congressman, briefly stepped out of his office on Thursday morning to tell reporters he would again not be commenting on the issue.

On Wednesday Weiner took part in a series of sit-down interviews denying he sent the photo but also noting he can't say with certitude that photo isn't of him.

He has called the incident a prank perpetrated by a hacker. He has hired an attorney to see what steps he may take.

Questions have arisen about whether he will call for an investigation. Weiner has said he does not want to make a federal case of the matter.
