OITNB
You’re not going to want to miss Season 5 of “Orange Is The New Black.” Netflix

Things are getting crazy in Litchfield and you’re not going to want to miss a second of the action. “Orange Is The New Black” is set to return to Netflix with its most intense and most timely season to date.

Fans of the show can stream all 13 episodes of the show on Friday, June 9. The entire fifth season of the show should be available at midnight PDT and 3 a.m. EDT, though Netflix did not immediately return our request for confirmation of that. Eager fans hoping to start their binge watching session will have to stock up on energy drinks or brew some coffee.

“OITNB” will be streaming exclusively on Netflix. Fans hoping to tune in can either procure a password from someone in their inner circle or create an account of their own. Netflix starts at just $7.99 a month with a free one month trial — which, let’s be real, is more than enough time to finish “OITNB” and whatever other Netflix shows pique your interest.

Once you’ve got yourself a Netflix log-in or an account of your own, you can stream Netflix just about anywhere. The service works on some TVs, laptop and desktop computers, smartphones and tablets. All you need is WiFi or a data plan and a little bit of peace and quiet.

No matter how you’re tuning in, you’re going to want to watch Season 5 of “OITNB.” Star Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Kerman on the Netflix original series, told CNN this season is one of the most relevant yet. She teased a lot of political points and a bit of “chaos.”

“Everything take on more importance,” she said. “It was a nice confluence of art and life. In our own lives there was a lot of chaos, and in the prison there was a tremendous amount of chaos.”

When the show ended in Season 4, Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley) had been wrongfully shot and killed by guards. The actress told The Hollywood Reporter she was honored to bring a scenario to the show that mirrored those that the Black Lives Matter movement’s been trying to shed light on. Wiley said the scene brought poignant issues into the living rooms of viewers who may not otherwise have such experiences.

“There are people who are watching television who might not have a personal relationship with Black Lives Matter, but they know Poussey,” she said of her character’s death. “What I’ve been reading online from people is just this profound sadness, something that they can’t shake away. And that is exactly what Jenji [Kohan, the show’s creator] is wanting people to feel, she wants people to not be able to shake this off.”

Yael Stone, who plays Lorna Morello on “OITNB,” echoed her co-stars statements in an earlier interview with Daily Mail. She said that Season 5 would be full of scary scenarios. In fact, the actress described “OITNB” as a “carnival of terror.”

Netflix released the full-length trailer for Season 5 in May. The full-length preview opens where Season 4 left off — with Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) holding two Litchfield guards at gunpoint. She’s surrounded by angry inmates urging her to pull the trigger, but can she bring herself to do it?
