Reid Brignac, an infielder with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, is reportedly engaged to former Playboy Playmate Lauren Anderson.

Brignac and Anderson have reportedly been dating since at least February 2012, while he was still playing for the Tampa Bay Rays, The Big Lead reports. Now Anderson, who was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in July 2002, has confirmed on Twitter that Brignac had proposed to her and they are planning to get married.

“Groom? Check. Date? Check. Church? Check. Reception venue? Check. Looks like I'm really getting married,” Anderson wrote on Twitter. According to Busted Coverage, Brignac and Anderson became engaged in October. The couple already has a young son together, and frequently posts photos of their growing family to their social media accounts.

Anderson, now 33, became a Playboy model after winning Fox’s “Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold” television special in 2002. She covered Playboy Spain in 2008, and has also appeared on “The Girls Next Door” and “Fear Factor.” Egotastic posted one of Anderson’s NSFW Playboy photo shoots, which can be viewed here. She’s also a big hit on Twitter; at press time, she had more than 35,000 followers.

A former second-round draft pick and top prospect for the Rays, Brignac, 27, is now known more for his glove than his bat. He signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies earlier this month, and will have a chance to make the big-league roster during spring training. In any event, Brignac is now engaged to a Playboy model, so things could be worse.
