It looks like Will (Laurie Davidson) and Alice’s (Olivia DeJonge) decision to keep their partnership will continue to create more problems for the pair.

According to the synopsis for next week’s Season 1, episode 6 of “Will,” tensions escalate as Will and Alice continue to collaborate.

In Season 1, episode 5, Will started to question his relationship with Alice when his wife, Anne (Deirdre Mullins), and their children, Susanna (Cleopatra Dickens), Hamnett (Leonardo Dickens) and Judith (Cleopatra Dickens), made a surprise trip to London. After Will showed Anna and the kids around London, his family got to meet the theater people, including his mistress, Alice.

Thanks to her woman’s intuition and a strand of blond hair she found in Will’s room, Anne come to a realization that Will is having an affair with Alice. Anne confronted Will about it and asked him to return home to Stratford. Anne revealed to Will that his father has run his glove-making business into the ground and is ready to hand it over to him.

Upon hearing the news, Will wrestled with his future. But ultimately, he decided to stay in London to continue his career as a playwright. Although Will told Anne that she and their children can live with him in London, he didn’t actually end his relationship with Alice.

“We belong together,” Alice told Will when she found out that he was planning to return to Stratford. When Will argued that he can’t continue making love to Alice without Anne knowing, the copyist said, “I don’t need you to make love to me, but I do need you to be by my side while I make this theater great again. One day, I will run it. And you will be my partner, my equal, a marriage of minds and souls.”

Alice said that she will marry Keenan (Ross Armstrong) while Will continues to be a husband to Anne. But despite their respective relationships, Alice and Will agreed to continue their affair “even until the edge of doom.”

Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, love pushes Marlowe (Jamie Campbell Bower) to face his darkest fears while Presto (Lukas Rolfe) must confront true evil.

“Will” Season 1, episode 6, titled “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” airs on Monday, Aug. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
