Solange is reportedly writing a tell-all book about Jay Z’s marriage to her sister Beyoncé. The 27 year old is sure to have some juicy revelations, especially after her elevator fight with the entrepreneur just weeks ago made headlines around the world.

But why would she go against her sister by revealing private and personal details? “Solange was always in the background while Beyoncé was the golden child,” a family friend tells Us Weekly. “She’s sick of being held down and she’s ready to fight back.”

On May 5, during the confrontation which took place after the Met Gala, Solange, Beyoncé and Jay Z got into an elevator with Beyoncé’s bodyguard, and Solange is seen yelling and kicking Jay Z in a video obtained by TMZ. Beyoncé seems to do nothing as she stands next to her husband. At one point, Beyoncé’s bodyguard has to hold Solange back. But that does not keep her from kicking Jay Z.  Toward the end of the video, Beyoncé seems to block Solange from Jay Z, and though there is no audio, it is evident that she is saying something to her husband.

When the trio exited the elevator, Solange and Beyoncé left the event in one car, while Jay Z left in another.

It is unclear what triggered the fight, but there were rumors that Jay Z and designer Rachel Roy were getting a little too close for comfort at the gala.

Regardless of what triggered Solange’s attack, this does not seem to be the first time Solange has yelled at, or even hit, Jay Z. Considering the degree to which their family successfully maintains its problem-free image, the footage has triggered rumors and questions as to whether or not there are marital issues between Beyoncé and Jay Z.

Will Solange’s tell-all reveal whether or not their marriage is in trouble?

Last year, after rumors spread that Beyoncé and Jay Z were in a trial separation, the 32-year-old singer released a new song that seemed to be about her relationship problems. The song "Mine" features the rapper Drake and refers to breakups and hardships.

“Been having conversations about breakups and separations/I’m not feeling like myself since the baby/Are we gonna even make it? Oooh cause if we are, we’re taking this a little too far/If we are, we’re taking this a little too far/Baby, if we are, we’re taking this a little too far/Me being wherever I’m at, worried about wherever you are/We’re taking this a little too far,” Beyoncé sings in the slow-tempo song. She gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January 2013.

The reason for the hip-hop power couple's alleged separation was that Jay Z did not spend enough time with his wife while she was touring and did not consult her regarding his own tour. Sources also claimed that Beyoncé was upset that her husband went clubbing often when she was not around and felt that he used “touring as an excuse to go out practically every night,” Star reported.

So if Solange is writing a tell-all, it is likely that she would be able to reveal whether or not Beyoncé and her husband are heading toward a divorce. But considering how protective Beyoncé is of her image, it is unlikely she would ever allow the book to see the light of day.
