Windows 8 With 300 Plus Features Listed

The new life in Microsoft’s mobile strategy with its much-talked-about Windows 8 OS brings a new twist as the American multinational corporation plans to make the new OS to power smartphones, tablets and PCs around the world. The Windows 8, which was announced in the CES, would add support for ARM microprocessors in addition to the traditional x86 microprocessors from Intel and AMD. ARM CPUs are generally in the form of SoCs found in mobile devices which implies that Windows 8 will be compatible with mobile devices such as netbooks, tablet personal computers and smartphones.

Microsoft does have its sights set firmly on the tablet market with Windows 8. And by the look of things, vendors hoping to score some quick revenue off the tablet craze are willing to follow Microsoft into that space.

During Windows 8 preview, top features like performance increases, lock screen, home screen, running apps, app store, new task manager, new Windows explorer, system wide spellchecking option and search feature were showcased by the software giant. However, Microsoft with a teaser slide mentioned that more than 300 features are in development.

Surprisingly, one reader at WinRumors took down all the features mentioned in the teaser slide and listed those 300 plus features which will come with the upcoming Windows 8.
