If the latest reports are to be believed, Nokia is slated to launch its first Microsoft Windows 8-powered series of tablets in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The arrival of the new 10-inch tablet from Nokia has been revealed by the company's component suppliers.

According to the recent reports and rumored by the sources, there is a heavy chance that the new tablet device from Nokia will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm processor with a 10-inch screen. Compal Electronics, the ones who will be assembling the device, have also revealed that the first batch of the new tablet will have around 200,000 units.

Microsoft is expected to gain from Nokia's collaboration with the WoA (Windows on ARM) camp and stand a chance to compete against the likes of Google's Android and Apple's iOS who have held the whole of the tablet market over the years.

More specification details about the new tablet are yet to follow, according to a DigiTimes report.
