The Boston Celtics have one roster spot remaining going into their new season and general manager Danny Ainge revealed recently that 2019 NBA summer league sensation Tacko Fall could take that place. The 7’6” center played in all five games for the Celtics in the summer league averaging 7.2 points and 1.4 blocks while shooting 77 percent from the field.

The 23-year-old went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft but was later given a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract by the Celtics. After his impressive showing in the summer league, Ainge has made it clear that the Celtics are very serious about the player’s development and their desire to make him into a player.

“He's a great kid, he's working really hard, we want to take his development very seriously," Ainge said during a recent interview talking about Fall, as quoted on Yahoo Sports. "He's a high priority for us to try to really develop into a player."

Celtics waived Guerschon Yabusele earlier this month, opening up a spot on the roster going into the 2019-20 NBA season and Ainge confirmed that Fall could have a chance of making the squad. Ainge also spoke about the player’s skills on the court and his ability to dunk the ball with minimum effort.

"I think that Tacko is going to have a chance to make the roster, but we'll see," Ainge said. "He's here working out right now, brought him in for a few days. We see some upside there, we're excited about him."

"You know, some of the plays he makes are hilarious, because you just don't see them," Ainge added talking about the Senegal-born center’s skills on the court. "I mean, guards get in a bind and they just throw the ball up in the air and then Tacko grabs them and tip-toe dunks them into the basket. It just looks like it's a senior in high school playing against fourth-graders sometimes out there."

The Celtics officially introduced Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter this week, the duo was brought in following the departures of Kyrie Irving and Al Horford, who joined Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers respectively.
