Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle share a lot of similarities.

The "Suits" star and the Duchess of Cambridge will officially be sister-in-laws in May. Middleton and Markle are expected to have a great relationship, especially that they have a lot of things in common.

According to Elite Daily, Prince William's wife and Prince Harry's fiancée are both well-educated. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met at the University of St. Andrews. The school is extremely competitive and has an acceptance rate of eight percent only for 2016-2017.

Meanwhile, Markle attended Northwestern University in Illinois. She's a self-proclaimed "theater nerd" and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Middleton and Markle also have a soft spot for philanthropy. Even before the "Horrible Bosses" star met Prince Harry, she was already into charity works.

In October 2016, she shared a photo of her surrounded by children of color. Markle shared her encounter with the kids in her lifestyle blog The Tig. However, it is already unavailable as Prince Harry's fiancée has already shut down the blog.

Markle is reportedly a huge fan of Prince Diana. According to Sonia Arkadani, the "Remember Me" actress started her charity works as a child by helping her out on her local soup kitchen and by collecting toys for donation. Markle is the ambassador for World Vision Canada and UNICEF. She's also an advocate for the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.

Meanwhile, Middleton's charitable nature is unquestionable. The pregnant royal has been active in promoting mental health. She's also active in promoting maternal mental health. A number of women were reported to suffer mental issues during pregnancy and a year after they gave birth and Middleton wants to help them.

The two women also have a good fashion sense. Whatever Middleton and Markle wear, the crowd follows. Their ensemble tends to run out of stock just hours after they are photographed in it. In fact, they are among Lyst's fashion influencers for 2017. Markle is at the fourth spot while Middleton trails behind at the fifth spot.

Middleton and Markle are also sporty and athletic. Middleton has been active in tennis and other sports. She was even photographed playing volleyball in wedges. She also played tennis with kids for their drills when she visited the Lawn Tennis Association during Halloween.

On the other hand, Markle is very fit and is a big fan of yoga. "Yoga is my thing," Markle said. "There are so many benefits that come with the practice of yoga... increased flexibility and muscle strength, greater happiness, increased mental focus, a greater ability to relax, decreased anxiety and better sleep."

Body language expert Sarah Constantine also sees a potential friendship between Markle and Middleton. "Well, first of all, I don't think there is any strain," Constantine said. "I think that Meghan feels much more uncomfortable than Kate does." Constantine also added that she does not think Markle is competing with the Duchess of Cambridge.
