One of summer’s sure to be guilty pleasure shows is making its debut on Sunday. TNT will be premiering “Claws,” on June 11 at 9 p.m. EDT/8 p.m. CT.

The series, which TNT is describing as a “midnight-dark, wickedly funny meditation on female badness," set in a Florida nail salon, is also about “good women caught in bad places with worse men.” It is also the story of “hardworking women trying to get by in this economy, set against the surreal, bright, gritty landscape of Florida and the luscious, absurd, extreme excesses of the crime world.”

But what should you know about this series that’s likely to become a new summer addiction before it premieres? Here are five quick facts about the show:

The Premiere Will Stream On Twitter:

Not having access to TNT no longer means that those who may be interested in the show, but don’t have access to the cable channel, will be left out of the fun of watching. According to Deadline, the show’s premiere episode will stream on Twitter after the television debut. The decision to do so came after major success was found by streaming an encore of “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee’s Not The House Correspondents’ Dinner” on the social media platform back in April.

The Premise Is Dark And Twisted:

The show is billed as a dark drama, which is fitting. The story follows salon owner Desna and her group of manicurists in a Central Florida salon, which also fronts as a space to launder money from a pill clinic next door. As Desna tries to break free from the life of crime she’s been caught up in, the drama only increases for her and the other women.

There Is A Pretty Decent All-Star Cast Attached To The Show:

CLAWS CAST

Part of what can make a show like “Claws” good is having a cast that combines great actors with people who are also great guilty pleasures to watch. This cast has both. Starring Niecy Nash (“Reno 9-1-1,” “Scream Queens”) as Desna, Karrueche Tran as Virginia, Carrie Preston (“True Blood,” “The Good Wife”) as Polly, Jenn Lyon (“Saint George,” “Justified”) as Jennifer, Judy Reyes (“Scrubs,” “Devious Maids”) as Quiet Ann, Jack Kesy (“The Strain”) as Roller and Dean Norris (“Breaking Bad,” “Girlboss”) as Uncle Daddy, the cast is one to keep an eye on.

Pay Attention To The Literal Nails:

Of course the women of the show will have fierce nails being that their characters work in a nail salon, but in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nash explained that they actually play a big part in telling the overall story.

“The nails tell a story,” she said. “So if you follow the nails, when they change, something’s going on!”

Reviews For The Show Are Mixed:

Unfortunately for the show, critics are having a hard time about what to make of it. Generally, reviews from The Tampa Bay Times, Newsday, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter all praise the premise and the cast for their work and agree that the show is definitely eye-catching, but they also agree generally that the show does lack a steady tone, which can occasionally make it hard to follow along properly.

You can catch “Claws” when it premieres on TNT on Sunday, June 11 at 9 p.m. EDT.
